I can't count the number of days water play has saved my sanity- it's always a hit!   Ice painting Feel good about teaching your kids some science and fostering their artistic talent at the same time while they paint some ice (and you have a chat!)   Wet chalk Chalk is more fun when it's mixed with water. Crush it, mix with water and paint or immerse sticks in water and draw. Experimentation and creativity at it's finest. Simple, cheap fun!   Rainbow pouring station Learn about colour mixing. Learn how to pour milk on their breakfast without spilling it all over the table. Play translates to real life skills. Its win-win!   Water play for babies? Babies can enjoy water play too! Multiplay - Science Play Kids Excursion   It's Multiplay excursion time! Come down and celebrate Children's Week with the Multiplay crew at this free event put on by Hobson's Bay Council.   Through playful science activities with real animal specimens, microscopes, and fascinating tactile experiences, children will dive into the world of discovery on their own terms.  This year’s theme, “Everyone should know about Children’s Rights”, is brought to life by empowering every child to make choices, direct their learning, and express their ideas, because children have the right to learn, be heard, and lead their own experiences.   This is a drop-in style event – stay as little or as long as you like. Parents and carers are welcome to join in or step back and let kids take charge. Calling all School-Aged kids who love Timezone!!   Join us during the school holidays on Wednesday 1st October for a trip to Timezone Highpoint!   WMBA are subsidising 1 hour of play (at least $20 per child!).   Younger brothers and sisters are welcome to tag along.   RSVP essential!   To RSVP - Purchase a "Free Ticket" per person attending, by Wednesday 24th September, so we can finalise a few details behind the scenes.

Multiplay - Ice Cream Extravaganza   The hottest activity of the term as voted by my 3 year olds!  An ice cream themed sensory play extravaganza for all ages.  Squishy ice cream sensory bags for the bubs to explore.  Serve up some colourful ice-creams at the ice cream bar for plenty of messy sensory fun.  Explore the texture of 'ice cream' oobleck - a classic early science experiment for the kids to explore a non-newtonian fluid (exhibits properties of both solids and liquids).   The older kids will get messy no doubt so wear old clothes and bring a change in case.  I will have some cloths/towels and soapy water at hand for clean up purposes and am buying us a new collection of smocks as well.   A few Multiplay details for this week and ongoing: When is it? 10am - 12pm on a Friday, see dates above or the events section for upcoming sessions.
