🎄 WMBA Christmas Party at Brimbank Traffic School! 🚦 Celebrate the festive season with a fun-filled morning of bike riding, play and Christmas cheer! All ages welcome — we’ll have a special area for younger kids too. ✨ About the venue: Brimbank Traffic School is a safe, securely gated community space boasting a large undercover party area with direct access to kitchen and bathroom facilities — perfect for families with little ones! *** THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO EARLY 2026 *** This is an informal information session run by the Westgate Multiple Birth Association for new and expectant families of multiples.  Come along and meet other new (or expecting) families of multiples and pick up some handy tips and tricks to help you on the journey.  Bring all your questions and learn about how things REALLY work when there's more than one baby at a time.  Nothing is off limits! We welcome WMBA members and non-members to this event.  This is kid-friendly, so you're welcome to bring your babies and siblings (multiples or non-multiples).  Please feel free to spread the word to any expectant multiple parents you know or meet.  This event will be held in Newport, with the full address of the venue to be emailed to you after registration. (Please register for a ticket for everyone 12yrs+ so we can track capacity)

Multiplay - Chef's Hat or Hard Hat   If you loved ice-cream party last term then you'll love this fun session decorating donuts or constructing tall teetering towers- pick your fun!   Donut Shop Slices of pool noodle are the perfect base for 'donut' baking and decoration. Slather them in icing (shaving foam) and decorate to your heart's content. Pretend play, sensory play, art and creativity- this activity has it all.   Construction zone Are your kids more into engineering tall towers? Pool noodle slices and shaving cream glue are awesome preschool and toddler STEM construction materials to build creative structures.   Baking for bubs Did you know your baking and muffin trays are your new (cheap and available) best friend when it comes to entertaining babies? Multiplay - Just Add Water   Have you come across the popular parenting tip "put them in water or take them outside" for those moments when everyone needs a reset? Come down to multiplay and you can do both. I can't count the number of days water play has saved my sanity- it's always a hit!   Ice painting Feel good about teaching your kids some science and fostering their artistic talent at the same time while they paint some ice (and you have a chat!)   Wet chalk Chalk is more fun when it's mixed with water. Crush it, mix with water and paint or immerse sticks in water and draw. Experimentation and creativity at it's finest. Simple, cheap fun!   Rainbow pouring station Learn about colour mixing. Learn how to pour milk on their breakfast without spilling it all over the table. Play translates to real life skills. Its win-win!   Water play for babies? Babies can enjoy water play too! Multiplay - Science Play Kids Excursion   It's Multiplay excursion time! Come down and celebrate Children's Week with the Multiplay crew at this free event put on by Hobson's Bay Council.   Through playful science activities with real animal specimens, microscopes, and fascinating tactile experiences, children will dive into the world of discovery on their own terms.  This year’s theme, “Everyone should know about Children’s Rights”, is brought to life by empowering every child to make choices, direct their learning, and express their ideas, because children have the right to learn, be heard, and lead their own experiences.   This is a drop-in style event – stay as little or as long as you like. Parents and carers are welcome to join in or step back and let kids take charge. Westgate AGM with Messy Bubs   To run this brilliant club we need your help!  Can you lend an hour or two a month to be a committee member?  We have some really exciting positions becoming available and we would love have you onboard!  Come along to our AGM to learn more and have a great morning of fun.   Please see your emails for the Notice of AGM, including the meeting agenda, minutes from the 2024 AGM, and a description of all the roles and their descriptions.  These are also available on the Facebook page.   Prior to the AGM we are so excited to have MESSY BUBS come and do a play session for the younger children, while the older kids will get to do cookie decorating!!   A couple of points:    Eastona Kindergarten is fully enclosed indoor and outdoor play areas with a wide range of toys and play equipment.   This event is free of charge to WMBA families.

Multiplay - Babies Galore   Come down and join in the fun!   Baby Sensory A fun sensory experience for our littlest members (aged 0-13 months) and a great chance to connect with other parents experiencing the first year of parenting multiples.  The session will be facilitated by Baby Sensory Inner West Melbourne - you can check them out here for more info: https://www.babysensory.com.au/innerwestmelbourne/.   For the older kids:   Baby doll washing station Complete with foam, soap, brushes and towel. You can also bring a long a baby or favourite toy of your own for a fancy bath and grooming session.   Build a bed for your baby Decorating a shoe box is always a fun and easy activity to keep your kids entertained and give you a few minutes of peace.  Let's take it up a notch by turning it into a cute bed for your kiddo's favourite toy complete with mini blanket and pillow and obligatory sticker decoration for the outside.   If you have both bubs and an older kiddo just a reminder that we have our fabulous volunteer Anne and myself are both happy to be an extra set of eyes for your little one while you are doing baby sensory.  They can also enjoy the indoor play play space at the back of the room or join you in helping with baby sensory.   A few Multiplay details for this week and ongoing: When is it? 10am - 12pm on a Friday, see dates above or the events section for upcoming sessions.
